Surface-mounted housings are an essential component of heavy-duty (HD) industrial connector systems. They are designed for permanent mounting on flat surfaces - such as control panels, walls of distribution cabinets, machine housings, or industrial devices - and serve as the base part of the connector, into which the appropriate insert with electrical contacts is placed. Surface-mounted housings are equipped with a thread for cable entry.

 

Construction and function

Mounting flange with holes for bolts or screws - enables solid and durable fastening.

Chamber with a socket for the insert - where the electrical component responsible for transmitting signals or power is placed.

Locking systems - most often in the form of single or double lever locks, compatible with corresponding cable housings.

Optional protective cover - protecting the interior from dust and moisture when not connected.

 

Industrial applications

Surface-mounted housings are used wherever the following are required:
