Bulkhead-mounted Housings

Bulkhead-mounted housings are a special variant of rectangular connector housings designed for permanent installation in bulkheads, machine walls, operator panels, or electrical cabinets. Their design allows for the secure mounting of the connector socket within the device's housing and for cooperation with cable or extension housings on the movable side.

 

Characteristic features:

Panel (bulkhead) mounting: housings installed from the outside or inside of the device, with a seal around the flange.

Housing material: aluminum, zinc, and plastic castings are available.

Sealing: protection up to IP66/IP69, providing resistance to water, dust, chemicals, and high pressure.

Use of a protective cover: optional integrated cover with a latch.

 

Applications:

  • Industrial installations where the connector must be built into a machine wall or control panel.
  • Systems where easy replacement or servicing on the user side is important, without interfering inside the device.
