SBE, SBX, and SBO connectors are an extension of the classic SB® series, offering not only two main power supply circuits, but also the possibility of integrating up to 8 auxiliary circuits for signal transmission or low-current power supply. The use of different lengths of auxiliary contacts enables the implementation of connection sequences, e.g., last-mate / first-break, used in applications with interlock or CAN control. This series has been designed for demanding industrial applications where durability, safety, and functionality extended by a signal circuit are important.

 

Features of SBE, SBO, and SBX connectors

Current range up to 550 A
The main contacts allow for current carrying up to 550 A (depending on the model) at voltages up to 600 V DC, in accordance with UL 1977.

Possibility of integrating auxiliary contacts
Depending on the configuration, it is possible to build in up to 8 additional pins using the PP15/45 or PPMX standard, e.g. in 1×4 format.

Sequential connection of auxiliary contacts
Four pin lengths are available in the auxiliary circuits, allowing you to control the connection sequence (e.g., grounding before power supply, control later).

Touch-safe - increased user safety
All models meet the requirements of IEC 60950 and IEC 60529 for protection against accidental contact with conductive circuits.

Mechanical and chemical resistance

  • SBE® - PBT/PC compound enclosure, chemically resistant, tested in accordance with EN 1175:2020 (e.g. industrial environments, traction batteries).
  • SBX® - enclosure made of durable polycarbonate, provides increased impact resistance, tested in accordance with UL and CSA.
  • SBO® - variant for applications requiring limited space at lower currents (e.g. 60 A).

High mechanical durability
Connectors designed for up to 10,000 mating cycles.

Colored, mechanically coded enclosures
Protection against installation errors – the color corresponds to a specific voltage and does not mechanically fit other voltages.
