Marine Cable Glands

( number of products: 3 )

PFLITSCH marine glands are designed for use in environments with high corrosivity, vibrations, and constant exposure to seawater and salt spray. They include solutions made of stainless steel and nickel-plated brass, also available in versions with a marine thread and the option of full EMC shielding. Characteristic PFLITSCH elements, such as the spherical blueglobe sealing insert and the TRI spring, ensure a durable seal and stable cable clamping. Selected variants have approvals from classification societies, which facilitates acceptance and integration in shipbuilding and offshore projects.

Characteristic features of marine glands

Resistance to the marine environment
Materials and coatings selected for corrosion, exposure to saltwater, and variable weather conditions.

Versions with a marine thread
Installation compatibility with typical marine interfaces and onboard devices.

High sealing and stable clamping
The spherical blueglobe insert evenly distributes forces, supporting a durable seal even with vibrations.

EMC 360° without compromise
TRI solutions provide full contact with the cable shield, even with cables that are not perfectly round.

Approvals from classification societies
Selected models have approvals for marine applications, which speeds up the approval processes.

System consistency
A wide range of accessories and variants enables standardization, easier servicing, and quick prefabrication.

Typical applications of marine glands

  • Control cabinets and onboard devices on ships
  • Offshore platforms and coastal installations
  • Port cranes, hoists, and transshipment systems
  • Offshore wind farms – cable entries and service sections
  • Water and sewage installations and desalination plants in the coastal zone
