Busbars
Druseidt busbars are flexible current connections made of copper or aluminum foil, designed for use in demanding industrial installations. They combine high conductivity with great flexibility, allowing them to compensate for vibrations, thermal movements, and mechanical stresses. Thanks to diverse production technologies and the possibility of individual customization, they are a reliable solution in the energy and industrial sectors.
The offer includes three main product groups: connections made of copper and aluminum foils, special transformer connections with an expansion part, and flexible PVC-insulated busbars. All Druseidt busbars are produced in a wide range of dimensions, also for custom orders, with contact surfaces that are tinned, silver-plated, or fully coated. The ability to drill, mill, and bend allows for precise adaptation to specific design requirements.
Characteristic features of Druseidt busbars
Multi-layer construction
Composed of packages of HCP copper or aluminum foils, they provide a high level of flexibility and conductivity.
Advanced production technologies
Pressure welding, gas-shielded welding, electron beam welding, or riveting guarantee durability and stable conductivity parameters.
Compensation of movements and stresses
They absorb thermal expansion and vibrations, increasing the operational safety of the installation.
Individual customization
Contact areas can be drilled, milled, and bent; tinned or silver-plated versions are available.
PVC insulation
Optional PVC-insulated busbars are self-extinguishing, lead-free, and allow for installation in limited space.
Flexible transformer solutions
Connections with an expansion part enable operation in high-current applications, such as in steel mills or high-power transformers.
Typical busbar applications
- connections between transformers, generators, rectifiers, and switchgear devices
- compensation of thermal movements and vibrations in machines, contactors, and welding systems
- applications in steel mills and high-current installations
- switchgears and prefabricated power supply systems up to 1 kV
- installations requiring flexible conductors in limited space
