Splitted Glands
Split cable glands enable the entry of cables with connectors into enclosures and devices without the need to cut the cable or remove the plug. Their design is based on two or more enclosure parts that, when assembled, form a sealed and mechanically stable cable entry. This allows the clamping range to be adapted to the specific needs of the application. This solution is especially useful for servicing or when installing prefabricated cables.
Characteristic features of split glands
Segmented design
The glands are built from two (or three) parts that are screwed around the inserted cable. This enables the installation of pre-assembled cable harnesses or cables with connectors, without having to disconnect them.
Flexible sealing inserts
The possibility of using inserts with different diameters allows the gland to be matched to a specific cable cross-section. In some models, it is possible to route several cables at once.
Maintaining a high seal
Despite the split design, the glands offer a seal of up to IP66/IP67, which allows for their use in typical industrial environments.
Multi-channel applications
The offer also includes triple models, designed for routing three cables through a single threaded opening.
