Typical applications of ILME connectors

Control cabinets and industrial automation
ILME connectors are commonly used in the construction of control cabinets and automation systems because they enable quick, unambiguous, and modular assembly of signal and power cabling. Thanks to a wide range of inserts with different cross-sections, operating voltages, and terminal types, integrators can easily adapt the connector to project requirements. An additional advantage is the possibility of prefabricating cable harnesses and their quick service replacement without the need to unscrew the terminals inside the cabinet.

Mobile machines and devices (e.g., CNC, robotics, construction equipment)
In environments where machines are exposed to vibrations, dirt, and the need for frequent maintenance, ILME connectors ensure reliability thanks to robust locking systems and high resistance to vibrations and weather conditions (IP66/IP67). Versions with spring terminals (SQUICH®) significantly shorten service time — just push the wire in, without using tools. This type of connector facilitates the construction of plug-and-play systems.

Renewable energy (wind, sun, hydrogen)
Photovoltaic systems and wind turbines often operate in conditions of increased humidity, large temperature differences, and limited service access. ILME connectors provide a high level of sealing, long connection durability, and the ability to transmit both low-voltage signals and power circuits (up to 100 A / 1000 V). Versions with gold-plated contacts allow for the transmission of analog signals in precise applications (e.g., in dispensers or measurement systems).
