SBS / SBSX Series

SBS series and its extension SBSX are Anderson Power connectors designed for DC connections that require high current, compact size, and user safety. The enclosure with contact lock and touch-safe protection provides protection against accidental contact with live tracks, which is particularly important at voltages above 30 V DC. SBS models are available in various configurations: from the compact SBS MINI, through the SBS 50/75, to the waterproof SBSX® 75A.

 

Features of the SBS/SBSX series

High-current connectors in a compact enclosure
Versions with current ratings from 52 A (SBS MINI) to 140 A (SBSX® 75A) - at voltages up to 600 V.

Safe design (touch-safe)
All SBS models are designed to protect the user from accidental contact with the contacts, even when disconnected.

Possibility of connecting power and signal circuits
Selected models (e.g. SBS 75X) offer additional auxiliary contacts (up to 4 signal circuits at 20 A) and mate-first / break-last options for protective circuits (SBS 75G).

Hot-plug / circuit interruption
All contact positions are suitable for disconnecting under load - the connectors can be used to interrupt the circuit (up to 45 A @ 72 V DC).

IP68 sealed versions (SBSX®)
SBSX® 75A connectors are IP68 protected when mated or with appropriate covers when unmated - they can withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1.8 m.

Chemical resistance and UV radiation
The enclosures are made of materials resistant to aggressive chemicals and prolonged UV exposure, allowing for outdoor use.

Mechanical durability
SBSX® models are designed for up to 5,000 mating cycles, which translates into a long service life in service and everyday applications.
