Radiall Van-System KVBS

The KVBS circular bayonet connectors are based on the RF CVBS series (both series are interoperable) and on the MIL-DTL-5015 and VG95234 specifications. The most important advantage compared to the original is a simpler and faster cable assembly. The materials from which the individual elements of the KVBS series connectors are made have been selected by the manufacturer in such a way as to meet the requirements of railway applications. The connectors will be used in numerous areas of railway vehicles, e.g. in control elements on the driver's desk, windscreen wiper or lighting systems, as current converter, in electrical cabinet, or in low-voltage supply or digital signal systems.

Characteristics of KVBS connectors:

• Insulating parts in accordance with EN 45545-2 standards. The grommets and the inserts are in flame retardant material according to UNI CEI 11170-3 and NFF 16-102 – zone 4 ,
• Contacts retained by a high elasticity clip,
• Fully protected connectors: no risk to damage the contacts thanks the robust shell,
• Suitable for polarizations to prevent un-correct coupling,
• Simpler and faster cable assembly,
• Backshell and accessories for fastening cable/conduit fixation,
• The connector can resist to axial pressure shock, the characteristics are mantained even when it is not fileld with all the contacts (up to IP68 - waterproof to 10 meters - 12 hours - when mated connectors with adequate accessories),
• The size 16 contact cavity has a wider internal diameter able to accept flame retardant cableup to 2.5 mm²,
• -40°C ÷ +125°C (+ 100°C according NF F 61-030).
