Radiall Van-System EVBS C7

The EVBS‑C7 is a standard bayonet connector designed for data transmission over a Category 7A (Cat 7A) Ethernet cable, primarily used inside rail vehicles. It provides reliable static Ethernet connections in railway environments.

Key features of EVBS-C7 connectors:

• Vibration and shock resistance – meets the requirements of IEC 61373, Category 1, Class B, ensuring durability in dynamic conditions.
• Bayonet coupling – provides a quick and secure connection with a single turn, featuring audible, visual, and tactile feedback.
• IP67 waterproof rating – protects against dust and water when the connector is mated.
• Compact and modular design – allows for the assembly of 2 or 4 twisted pairs, with or without shielding, enabling the connector to be adapted to various EMI requirements.
• Fire resistance – compliant with EN 45545‑2, which is required for railway applications.
• Multifunctionality and various applications – suitable for Cat 5E, Cat 6, and Cat 6A Ethernet connections, as well as for use in sensors, passenger control, diagnostics (brakes, doors, engines), lighting, displays, and internet connectivity.
• Modularity in the GM system – can be combined with fiber optic (RXF), coaxial, and power or signal modules (up to 14 wires), providing flexible solutions in GM constructions.
• Compliance with railway standards – including EN 50124‑1, IEC 60077‑1, EN 50467, EN 45545‑2, IEC 61373, etc.
• Finish and materials – housing made of aluminum with an electroless nickel coating, contacts made of brass with a gold over nickel plating, and an insulator made of thermoplastic with controlled impedance.
