Pflitsch PIK-Trunking - cable trunking
- PIK-Trunking by PFLITSCH is the smallest cable tray system designed for routing small quantities of cables. Made of durable, thick sheet metal and equipped with corrugated side walls. The cover of the tray opens along its entire length.
PIK‑Trunking by PFLITSCH is the smallest cable routing system designed for managing a small number of cables, especially in areas with limited installation space. Made from durable, thick sheet metal and featuring ribbed side walls, it maintains structural integrity even under load. The cover opens along the entire length and is installed without screws, allowing for easy assembly and maintenance. The system is available in various sizes and materials and is compatible with Industrial‑Trunking, allowing flexible adaptation to different installation needs.
Key Features of PIK‑Trunking
Designed for limited space
PIK-Trunking by PFLITSCH is a solution developed for routing small quantities of cables in areas where installation space is highly limited. Thanks to its compact dimensions and wide range of variants, the system is ideal for applications that require both precision and flexibility in cable routing.
Durable construction and high material quality
The system is available in versions made of galvanized steel and AISI 304 stainless steel (V2A), as well as primed and powder-coated variants in any RAL color. The ducts feature thicker sheet metal and ribbed side walls, which ensure high shape stability and load resistance—superior to conventional solutions. Galvanized steel components are additionally protected by a high-quality zinc coating of 275 g/m², ensuring excellent corrosion resistance.
Fast and easy installation
The PIK cover opens along its entire length, allowing quick cable insertion without the need to thread them through like with steel conduits. The cover clips on without screws or latches, and its secure hold—even during vertical installation or vibration—is ensured by precise edge protection. A special WRD DH lifting tool further facilitates removal. Channels can be installed without screws using stainless steel spring clips that compensate for surface unevenness. Alternatively, screw mounting or installation using PFLITSCH HLK adhesive tape is also possible.
Extensive accessory system and application flexibility
The PIK system is available in ten sizes – from 15 × 15 mm to 200 × 60 mm. It offers a wide range of shape components such as elbows, angles, and tees, enabling closed cable routing in all X/Y/Z directions. Partition walls can be used to separate power and data cables in compliance with EMC requirements. Additional components include end caps, reducers, perforated plates for cable glands, edge protectors, and blanking plates.
Cable protection and potential equalisation
The ducts have deburred edges and safe corners, which minimise the risk of damage to cables. Aesthetic and durable end caps provide protection against damage. The range also includes edge protection elements for side cut-outs. Both the covers and fittings of the PIK system are equipped with solutions that ensure potential equalisation. Serrated connectors and mounting claws guarantee a secure conductive connection between the elements.
Certifications and compliance
The PIK-Trunking system is certified by VDE and UL for all materials and surface variants, except hot-dip galvanized steel. The stainless-steel version is additionally classified according to CSA C22.2 No. 126.1-09.
Design and production support
PIK cable routing systems can be designed using the intuitive easyRoute CAD tool. Based on customer documentation, PFLITSCH can also supply ready-to-install components. PIK ducts can be easily cut and processed using dedicated PFLITSCH machines, further increasing system flexibility during implementation.
