Highly flexible high current copper connections by Druseidt are comprehensive current-carrying components for compensating vibrations, displacements and thermal expansion in power circuits. Made of rolled copper tapes or multi-wire copper cables, they offer exceptional flexibility while maintaining high current-carrying capacity and mechanical durability. The manufacturer's range covers a wide spectrum of technical possibilities for both standard and special solutions, with connection widths from 20 to 200 mm and cross-sections from 25 to 6000 mm².


Characteristics and design

Druseidt products are made of bare or tinned wires, braided as tapes or round strands. Their exceptional flexibility results from the use of very thin single wires with a diameter of 0.07 mm or 0.10 mm. Thanks to this, and the multilayer construction of braided tapes, they also feature a very large conductor surface, enabling the transfer of high currents.

Cable ends are crimped solderlessly from seamless sleeves made of E-copper/ETP copper under high pressure. The special crimping technology ensures a high degree of compression and forming, creating extremely compact contact areas. This results in the production of connections with exceptionally favourable and optimised contact and connection resistances.

Lower electrical resistance of the current-carrying element translates into lower electrical energy losses and improved ageing resistance of the component and current connection. Using these high-quality products minimises power losses and improves the service life of the electrical connection.
