PWBS – a connector designed for railways

PWBS connectors are single-pole connectors with a rated current of up to 1000A, equipped with a secure bayonet system that guarantees reliability and durability even in the most extreme operating conditions.
Their housing, made of durable aluminium alloy, together with a solid stainless steel bayonet mechanism, ensures mechanical durability and reliability for many years of use. PWBS connectors meet the most stringent requirements for fire resistance (compliance with EN45545-2), dust and moisture protection (IP67), as well as corrosion protection (up to 2000 hours of salt spray testing). Special thermoplastic insulators guarantee not only very high mechanical strength, but also a wide operating temperature range from -60°C to +180°C.
Energy efficiency and safety
PWBS also provide effective EMC protection, have touch-proof contacts and feature exceptionally low electrical resistance of less than 0.5 mΩ, which significantly improves energy efficiency and reduces the risk of system failure. The use of accessories such as special cable glands, adapters and clamps facilitates the assembly and servicing process, reducing the time needed for installation and replacement of components.
