Bopla Bocube Alu S - a new way of enclosures closing

Bopla has extended the offer of its robust aluminum enclosures from the Bocube Alu series with a new model distinguished by the closing method. After the enclosures equipped with hinges (BA) and innovative quick-release fastener (BA … SV), the German manufacturer introduced the BA-S model, closed with four screws located in the lid. The product is intended for applications the functionality of which may be limited by the available space. The presented solution is already being used in many projects in Europe and around the world.

The manufacturer wanted to offer enclosures that would be used in narrow installation spaces that do not provide enough space for convenient opening of the cover. In addition, enclosures are also ideal for situations in which the enclosure is subjected to extremely high vibration loads. This solutions ensure that the enclosure screws always keep the cover securely tight.

Bopla BA-S, like other models from the Bocube Alu series, is characterized by a high protection class at the IP66 level. It also enables to get an ingress protection level of IP68, which has been tested in a water chamber with a depth of 1.2 m for 2 hours, and even IP69. Optionally, the housings can be equipped with a silicone gasket, which will adapt the product to work in extreme temperature conditions (from -100°C to + 200°C). Standard housing colours are light gray (similar to RAL 7035) and graphite gray (RAL 7024).
