Construction materials
Raychem RPG uses three main material groups:

  • GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) - excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high resistance to corrosion and chemicals. Ideal for outdoor applications in Ex zones II 2G/2D.
  • Cast aluminum (LM6) - used where impact resistance and thermal conductivity are crucial.
  • Stainless steel AISI 304/316 - for chemically aggressive environments such as marine, chemical, or wastewater industries.

Ingress protection and mechanical resistance

  • IP66/IP67/IP68 - tested according to EN 60529.
  • IK08 to IK10 resistance (per IEC 62262).
